Pairin proposes Radin Malleh defend Melalap

-

TENOM: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan has proposed that Datuk Radin Malleh defend his Melalap state seat for the Barisan Nasional in the next general election.

He said Radin, who is a Parti Bersatu Sabah vice-president and PBS Melalap Division chief, was a leader who was sincere in his struggle for the constituents.

“I have always been in full support of Radin’s candidature because his struggle for the plural community in Melalap is unquestionable,” he said when opening the PBS Melalap Division, Youth and Wanita meetings here yesterday.

Pairin, who led PBS for 31 years before handing over the helm to Deputy President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili last January, urged the people of Melalap to extend their support to Radin.

“The Chinese voters in Melalap should also give their undivided support to Radin in the next general election,” he said.

Pairin advised all PBS members to ensure that the party’s candidates fielded by BN were returned with huge victories in the general election.

“If we are all united, there is no problem for PBS to win all the seats it contests,” he said.

He advised the Melalap constituents to exercise caution and not be influenced by the opposition, saying that the opposition only focused on personal interests. — Bernama
