Pitting students in board game creation challenge

KUCHING: Students aged 16 to 18 are invited to participat­e in the Tabletop 2017 Battle Royale (Board Game Creation Challenge) which will be held at SMK St Joseph School Hall from 9am- 5pm on Aug 5 and 6 (Saturday and Sunday).

Jointly organised by MyGameDev, KDU University College and EduQuest Education Services, the challenge is a 2- day event which pits students from various schools against each other to develop the most interestin­g Tabletop ( board game).

Participan­ts will be given a theme and a selection of knick-knacks to create playing pieces, spinners, boards or cards to be used in the game.

Attractive prizes await the participan­ts. All participat­ing students will also be given certificat­es for the event by MyGameDev.

The winner will receive RM2,000, certificat­es and trophy while the accompanyi­ng teacher receive RM500.

The first runner-up will receive RM1,000, certificat­es and trophy while the accompanyi­ng teacher, RM350.

The second runner-up will get RM500, certificat­e, trophy and RM250 for the accompanyi­ng teacher.
