UCSI University to host Science and Maths quiz this July 8
KUCHING : UCSI University will hold a Science and Maths quiz at its Isthmus Sarawak Campus on July 8.
The annual quiz which is in its third year is organised by the Centre for Pre-U Studies (CPU).
The university, in a statement yesterday, said it has received an overwhelming response from schools in Kuching, Samarahan, Bau, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu and Miri.
The objective of the quiz is to promote the study of sciences and mathematics while encouraging teamwork among the students in order to learn from each other. It is open to Form 4 and Form 5 students.
The quiz is divided into four categories; namely, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The top three finalists will be awarded the UCSI University Bursaries (scholarship) worth a total of RM 54,000 and RM1,800 cash prizes.
The Centre for Pre- U Studies (CPU) UCSI University Sarawak Campus Foundation Studies Programme in Science is a perfect first step for students who are keen on furthering their studies in Medicine and Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Architecture, Engineering, Social Sciences and Applied Science programmes.
The September intake is now open for registration. Students who are interested in registering are reminded to bring along their academic transcripts or result slips for enrolment.
