SUPP Bukit Assek all out to help community via mobile service team

-

SIBU: SUPP Bukit Assek strives to be closer to the community through the party’s mobile service team.

Person-in-charge of the branch’s service counter Joseph Chieng said they set up their counter at Sing Kwong Shopping Complex Salim last week, where they could reach out to more people.

“We collect the opinions and aspirations of the people, and help them work out solutions for their problems.

“Among our team members are four councillors. We are working as a team, we have earned the people’s commendations – we are one with them,” he said, adding that the setup of the mobile service counter was in line with the party’s leadership vision and its status as ‘the people’s party’.

Moreover, Chieng said SUPP chose to set up these counters in shopping malls because these places were where people from all walks of life would be.

“Many people are used to seeing us and have been in constant contact via WeChat, WhatsApp and other mobile apps.

“Most importantly, whatever opinion or feedback that we gain from them, would be handed over to the relevant government departments or agencies for actions.

“Because of this, the people have been receiving prompt help from the government. We are the bridge between the people and the government.”

Chieng said among the government departments and agencies that have been constantly working with SUPP are the Sibu Municipal Council, Sibu Rural District Council, Sibu Water Board, and the Welfare Department.
