MIRI: Curtin University’s continued rise up the prestigious world university rankings is an assurance of the quality of education it provides, including at its international campuses which provide the same courses, learning experience and degrees.

The university had recently risen to a ranking of 22 in the 2018 edition of the QS Top 50 which recognises the world’s top 50 universities founded less than 50 years ago. The university moved up five places in the ranking to fifth in Australia, positioning the university among the top young institutions in the global higher education sector.

Cur t in University Vice - Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said she was thrilled that Curtin continued to climb the prestigious world university rankings.

“Curtin might be a young university by global standards, but we continue to thrive on the world stage because of our commitment to quality education, research and international collaboration with key partners,” Professor Terry said in a statement.

She added: “This incredible achievement follows Curtin’s increase i n t he QS World University Rankings last month when we rose to 262 in 2017-18, up from 306 in 2016-17.”

The QS Top 50 under 50 are sourced from the latest QS World University Rankings (QSWUR), which are regarded as among the most trusted world university rankings.

The latest University Ranking by Academic Per formance ( URAP) field-based ranking also placed Curtin University 28 out of 41 fields, up from 23 last year.
