Indonesian team to conduct two-night Miri Evangelistic Rally
MIRI: Some 2,000 people in and around Miri City are expected to attend the two-night Worship Evangelistic Rally on July 27-28 at Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Canada Hill.
The event is organised by BEM Senadin Church in conjunction with the church’s 10th anniversary celebration this year.
BEM Senadin founder and chairman Andrew Mering Jau said the professional prophetic team of Ruwach Ministry from Solo, Indonesia will conduct the rally.
“We wil l be joined by this prophetic team which operates in prophetic worship and anointed healing to help achieve the rally’s objective to bless Miri communities.
“The rally is to provide an avenue for Miri communities to establish personal intimate relationship with God through praise and worship,” Andrew told The Borneo Post yesterday.
He added that the rally is open to all non-Muslim communities in Miri. Entry is free. The rally will start at 7pm until 10pm on both nights and Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau has consented to officiate at the opening.
Andrew urged the people to take the opportunity to join the Ruwach Prophetic Worship team led by its founder, Pastor ( Pr) Agus Effendi @ Pr Abdegino.
Pr Abdegino who has 29 years of pastoral experience, is the Senior Pastor of Pentecosta Immanuel Church in Solo, Indonesia.
The team coming to Miri includes Indonesian professional singer Cornelia Pattiaasina who has produced a number of albums.
Andrew revealed that the team had performed in many Malaysian churches mostly in Sabah such as Calvary Charismatic churches in Keningau, Kudat, Kota Kinabulu and Matunggong, SIB Menggatal and Kota Belud, and Baptist Hosana Church, Keningau.
