School transformation briefing to get feedback from parents
MIRI: SMK Dato’ Permaisuri ( SMKDP) held a 2025 School Transformation Briefing (TS25) for parents at the school recently.
Principal Haslinda Jeni said the programme was aimed to get input from parents and members of the public on the implementation of TS25 by the Ministry of Education Malaysia ( MoE).
“The TS25 programme is an effort to improve students’ enrolment and quality of schooling. It applies the best practices in school management and classroom education in line with the aspirations of the Malaysian Education Development Plan ( PPPM) 2013-2025,” she said in a statement to the media.
Haslinda said in a bid to ensure the success of the TS25 programme, parental cooperat ion from Parental Support Group ( KSIB), Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the community are important to ensure students’ potential can be developed.
This programme involved par tnerships with Form 4 students acting as ambassadors of SMKDP - an example of emotional expectation through effective and interesting learning and teaching ( PdP) process.
“Our hope is for students to communicate wel l, have the confidence to speak and converse in front of the audience and be more knowledgeable, be bilingual and have self- esteem, ethics and good values,” she said.
At the same event, the school also held a SMKDP 2017 Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri to strengthen the unity of students and the multiracial communities they live in.
