EduQuest education fair at Pullman Hotel on July 25

-

KUCHING: EduQuest Education Services is once again bringing the ‘ EduQuest Education Fair’ back this year, with the event to be held this July 25 at Pullman Hotel Kuching, running from 1pm to 5pm.

The organiser invites parents and students from secondary schools, colleges, universities as well as SPM, STPM, A- Level and diploma holders to attend the fair and speak directly to representatives from universities and colleges, both in Malaysia and from overseas.

Some participating institutions will waive the application/ registration fee should a student register during the fair, where the entrance is free.

“Currently, there is still a pool of parents and students who are indecisive on the choice of courses to pursue after the SPM/ STPM result announcements in March this year. This (fair) is the best platform for them to obtain advice from representatives of various institutions to see what ( course) would suit them best,” said EduQuest education manager Michael Yii.

The event also provides a good avenue for current Form 5 and 6 students to prepare for further studies before taking the final examinations end of this year.

Parents and students are able to speak to the representatives of Advance Tertiary College (ATC), Berjaya University College of Hospitality, Deakin University Australia, Executive College, Heriot Watt University Malaysia, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur and International Medical College.

Also participating are JobsMalaysia, MDIS Malaysia and Singapore, QUEST International University Perak, Southern University College, St Andrew’s College UK and University College of Technology Sarawak ( UCTS).

Other participants include the Xiamen University Malaysia, National Higher Education Fund Corporation ( PTPTN) and Kuching Taiwan Graduates Association

Besides that, visitors are able to obtain free advice on more than 100 universities and colleges in Sarawak, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the UK and the US from EduQuest’s counsellors.

Yii added: “Continuing from 2016, this year is going to be another challenging year for most parents due to the current economic situation. Hence, institutions are offering attractive scholarships, bursaries and incentives in order to ease parents’ burden in financing their children’s further education.”

Since its inception in 2002, EduQuest has helped thousands of students pursue their dreams, furthering studies in universities and colleges.

It is a one- stop centre that helps students in admissions, scholarship applications, accommodation arrangements, student’s visa, airport transfers and pre- departure briefings. It has offices in Peninsular Malaysia that supports students who are studying in institutions over there.
