Organising committee of badminton challenge treated to a buffet

KAPIT: Tai San Ten Associatio­n here on Thursday evening held an appreciati­on buffet at a café for members of the organising committee for this year’s ‘ Tai San Ten Inter-Teams Badminton Challenge 2017’ which was held at Bletih Stadium from July 19 to 25.

The purpose to thank the organising committee led by Ma Tian Kock who is vice- chairman of the Tai San Ten Associatio­n for a job well done.

Chairman of Tai San Ten Associatio­n, Kong Siau Kui was hopeful the badminton challenge would achieve its objective to promote understand­ing and cooperatio­n among Chinese organisati­ons in town.

“Every year, we ( Tai San Ten Associatio­n) organise this Tai San Ten Chinese Inter-Team Badminton Competitio­n with the aim to promote understand­ing and cooperatio­n among Chinese organisati­ons in town. We hope to bring them together for greater unity,” said Kong Siau Kui.

He said the inter-team badminton challenge is specially held for the Chinese youth and sports clubs to promote competitiv­e badminton and inculcate rapport among Chinese organisati­ons like Kwang Tung, Foochow and Chiang Chuan clan associatio­ns.

Six teams participat­ed in the Tai San Ten Chinese Inter-Team Badminton Challenge 2017 at the Bletih Indoor Stadium here from July 19 to 25.

The competing teams were Magna Glow, Bahagia k-Box 2020, Beteck, Asia Vision, Tian Huat and Star Light.

The winners were champion Magna Glow, Tian Huat in the second place and Bahagia K-2020 in third place.

Starlight was in fourth place while Beteck, fifth and Asia Vision, sixth.
