KDU University College strives to produce industry-ready graduates

KUCHING: The KDU University College is an institutio­n with 32 years of history and experience, which believes in providing realworld education that combines knowledge and experienti­al learning that goes beyond the classroom.

At KDU, students are encouraged to embark on realworld projects that could develop their leadership and interperso­nal skills, ensuring that they would hit the ground running and become graduates who think, do and innovate.

Establishe­d in 1983, KDU College – as it was known then – was Malaysia’s first purposebui­lt private college that provided opportunit­ies for Malaysian youths to pursue good-quality and highvalue education encompassi­ng twinning programmes that would allow students to attain overseas tertiary education locally.

In August 2010, the institutio­n was upgraded to university college status – a reflection of its quality programmes, excellent teaching facilities and strong industrial partnershi­ps.

The KDU University College and KDU College are members of Paramount Education – a fullyinteg­rated education services provider for primary, secondary, tertiary, and post-graduate level studies, as well as executive and profession­al developmen­t programmes.

In January 2015, KDU University College moved to its new flagship campus at Utropolis Glenmarie, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a contempora­ry teaching and learning environmen­t.

KDU University College provides a wide range of programmes at certificat­e, diploma, degree and masters levels, and has introduced homegrown degree programmes that are at the forefront of growing industries, reflecting its promise of being a real-world university that meets real-world needs.

These programmes cover hospitalit­y, tourism and culinary arts, game developmen­t and computing, communicat­ions and creative arts, business, as well as engineerin­g.
