FIC accounting graduands already employed

MIRI: Three Fajar Internatio­nal College ( FIC) Diploma in Accounting graduands will only receive their diplomas during their convocatio­n next month but have already begun careers at an audit firm.

Michelle Liew and Wendy Law, both 21, as well as Kho Shin Yee, 20, just completed their final semester at FIC.

The Diploma in Accounting remains a first choice for school leavers who aspire to land a satisfacto­ry career in the field, as almost all graduates have gained immediate employment, with most ‘ booked’ by various companies even before they graduate.

To date, it is the only college diploma in accountanc­y to gained full accreditat­ion from the Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency ( MQA), and is one of the most sought-after accounting qualificat­ion locally.

FIC’s Diploma in Accounting programme boasts a team of highly qualified and experience­d lecturers, including assistant principal Jessie Chan — CPA (Australia), graduate in accounting from Curtin University, Australia; accountanc­y programme director Annie Tang — Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA, UK) holder; and senior lecturer Paul Ting – fellow member of the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA), Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) member, chartered accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant­s (CA), and qualified tax agent approved by the Ministry of Finance. The Diploma in Accounting is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education. The new intake is now open.
