Kolej Sunway Kuching maintains ACCA Platinum status
KUCHING: Kolej Sunway Kuching announced yesterday that they have maintained their ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner status for the seventh consecutive year or 14 examination sittings.
It remains the first and only tuition provider in East Malaysia to achieve this prestigious accolade. Kolej Sunway Kuching CEO Joseph Lim thanked his lecturers, staff and management team for their contributions.

Malaysia Campus, Curtin University and Sunway University are already in place.” The Platinum Approved Learning Partner status is bestowed by ACCA only on tuition providers that have met stringent performance indicators such as pass rates that surpass those of the world, effective management and relevant support services.
Lim disclosed that over the past eight years, Kolej Sunway Kuching’s ACCA pass rates have consistently matched or surpassed those of the world.
“Overall, we obtained very good pass rates with top achievers scoring 90 per cent in Foundations in Taxation ( FTX), 85 per cent in Foundations in Financial Management ( FFM), 90 per cent in Taxation ( F6), 96 per cent in Financial Reporting ( F7), 65 per cent in Audit and Assurance ( F8) and 82 per cent in Financial Management ( F9),” Lim said. Lim said his college’s ACCA enrolment numbers are encouraging.
“The ACCA July intake has been our largest since 2014, with the fundamental level having more than 60 students and professional level, 40 students. We also have over 40 new degree students with full exemptions from ACCA registered onto our professional level papers,” Lim said.
According to him, Kolej Sunway Kuching will be running ACCA on a full-time basis by July 2018. Kolej Sunway Kuching is also continuing to encourage ACCA students to sign up for classes as some professional level papers will only commence in August 2017.
