Free seminar on entrepreneurial success on Aug 11

-

KUCHING: A seminar on ‘ How to Become a Successful Entrepreneur’ will be held at Kingwood Inn here on Aug 11 from 7pm to 9pm.

It will be conducted by eCOLINK International Education Service Centre managing director Andreas Surianto who will share his experience as a successful entrepreneur.

He will be speaking on topics such as the differences between work and entrepreneurship, conditions of being an entrepreneur, ways to earn the first ‘pot of gold’, establish a strong psychological well-being, build an international perspective, and more.

Andreas, who hails from Indonesia, was not born with a silver spoon and had to defy all odds to achieve his dreams of becoming successful one day.

“I was born into a poor family and my father did not have a regular job while my mother was a housewife.

“As the eldest son, I understood my family’s financial situation and tried my best to help my parents by providing private tuition classes from house to house so that I could support them and my two brothers.

“When I got my first job at an oil palm company, my salary was only RM50. But I had bigger dreams and I decided to study overseas. This was where I was able to see different things, experience more life opportunities and build a good network,” he said in a statement issued from the e- COLINK Sarawak Head Office here.

He pointed out that life is a choice which one only goes through once.

“You can stay and remain in the condition which you are in now and enjoy it, or you can walk away from it. I chose to see the difference and grab the opportunity from a different world. Everyone has the same chance and it is whether you take it or leave it.”

Today, Andreas owns a diversified range of businesses ranging from education service centres and tuition centres to hotels, restaurants and family karaoke centres in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Australia.

“As an international entrepreneur, we must always see the bigger opportunities that lie ahead and find ways to build a wider network to expand the business. Always be ambitious and trust yourself,” he advised.

Admission to the seminar is free but seats are limited.
