Catch Kuala Lumpur SEA Games 2017 action via NJOI Now

KUCHING: Malaysians can now cheer for their favourite athletes taking part in the Kuala Lumpur 2017 29th SEA Games live on ‘NJOI Now’ — a new video streaming service available via mobile and online to provide Malaysians free access to on demand entertainm­ent including box sets, live sports and breaking news.

There are 18 channels available, plus another eight channels starting Aug 14 for the SEA Games enabling sports fans to catch the events live via any mobile device — anytime, anywhere. The eight sports channels are SD channels (798- 801) and HD channels ( 802805). More informatio­n and full schedule will be updated on www. astro.com.my.

“NJOI Now can be accessed on the NJOI Now mobile app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store, or online via njoinow.com. It’s free for all Malaysians, including non-Astro customers,” said NJOI chief operating officer Azlin Arshad during the ‘ NJOI Now’ launch here yesterday.

“Today, NJOI Now has over 130,000 downloads and offers Malaysians live sports on Astro Arena, latest breaking news on Astro Awani, high quality education content on Astro Tutor TV, progressiv­e Islamic programmes on Astro Oasis, popular variety shows, TV dramas and signature local shows; as well as premium content via prepaid options for instant access to additional channels and titles, including Astro Warna, Astro Ria, Astro Wah Lai Toi, Hua Hee Dai, and also the latest movies on Astro First and Astro Best.”

NJOI Now users can now purchase a monthly library view prepaid pass, Huan Le Pass for the best of Chinese entertainm­ent – hours of movies, latest dramas, popular variety shows and children’s edu-tainment programmes at RM8 a month.

Azlin added that embedded inside NJOI Now is an intelligen­t recommenda­tion engine that pushes relevant content to individual users, plus a content download feature which allows users to download selected content to be viewed offline without requiring an internet connection or incurring additional data usage.

Also present at the launch here was Astro East Malaysia regional manager, vice-president Alison Lau.
