KUCHING: Head of Sarawak United People’s Party Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB), Wilfred Yap, recently led a delegation to meet Kuching District police chief ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai to discuss various issues of public interest.

Also with Yap were Kapitan Cheong Ek Boh and committee members of Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Hui Sing Penrissen and Kommuniti 1Malaysia Taman Hui Sing. Among the issues raised during the meeting were request for more police patrols in the Hui Sing and Seng Goon Garden areas apart from lodging police reports against illegal money lending activities.

Abang Ahmad informed the delegation that he would look into their requests to increase the frequency of police patrols in the Hui Sing and Seng Goon Garden areas to reduce and prevent crime.

He also said that any member of the public can lodge police reports on illegal money lenders and illegal money lending activities at Sungai Maong Police Station.

He assured that the police would treat reports on illegal money lenders and illegal money lending activities in strict confidence and would take appropriate action to curb such illegal activities.

Yap said SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to be a voice of the public and lend a helping hand to anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it.

Anyone requiring assistance can always call SUPP Public Complaint Bureau’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082246999 or go direct to SUPP head office to request for assistance.
