Talks to share wealth generation skills, options
KUCHING: Speakers from Singapore and Malaysia will share wealth generation skills and options during a series of talks today (Aug 6).
Training company Ultimate Breakthrough Sdn Bhd is holding the free event from 9am to 6pm at Citadines Uplands Kuching.
According to speaker Melvin Soh, attendees would be enlightened on investment vehicles available.
The Singaporean, who has been in the business industry for a decade, said many are unaware of the options available.
“The talks are all about making people understand more about business and to make smart business decisions. We are here to provide people with alternatives so that they can make wiser decisions on what they can do with their money,” he said in an interview on Friday.
According to him, investing “is not just for the very wealthy people if you know the how; and once you start to know how to do it, changes follow”.
He said his talk would focus on helping “ordinary people make better decisions for themselves”.
Soh said there are simple steps to follow through on a regular basis in order to write success stories.
“Some people are rich but they are not wealthy because being wealthy means you can still enjoy life instead of being chained to your job,” he said.
On tips for beginners, he said those without knowledge in business ought to learn the fundamentals from practitioners.
“You wouldn’t take a lesson from a driving instructor who doesn’t know how to drive would you? And just like building a house on a strong foundation, you also need to learn the fundamentals first.
“Patience is key, you need to learn the terms, learn how not to lose money, preserve the capital and take calculated risks to stake the odds in your favour,” he suggested.
He related how he used to struggle before finding success.
“I have learned to make better choices along the way. Throughout my 10 years in business, there were eight years of struggle and failure and two years of success.
“I stopped doing things that are not helpful and learnt to make wiser choices. If I can do this, so can everyone else,” he claimed.
Soh will speak on ‘Negotiations’, while other speakers are scheduled to speak on ‘Bitcoins’, ‘People Mastery For Sales’, and ‘Entrepreneurship Skills’.
