The Department of Syariah Judiciary Sarawak is sending a contingent of 43 contestants -- 10 female and 33 male – to the meet to be held at Universiti Teknikal Melaka.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan performed the flag- off for the Sarawak contingent at the compound of Wisma Sumber Alam in Petra Jaya yesterday.

On hand to receive the state colours from Awang Tengah was Najarudin Nedri, chairman of Welfare and Recreation Club of the Department of Syariah Judiciary Sarawak.

Awang Tengah, who is also Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development and Second Minister of Urban Development and Natural Resources, urged the contingent to project the good image of Sarawak during the tournament.
