S’wak to highlight over 100 travel packages at Matta Fair 2017

KUCHING: The Sarawak Pavillion at this year’s Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents ( Matta) Fair will highlight more than 100 exciting holiday packages offered by a total of 13 travel agencies and hoteliers from the state.

The fair, to take place at Putra World Trade Centre ( PWTC) Kuala Lumpur from Sept 8 to 10, will house Sarawak Pavillion at its Hall 5 – booth number 4M001 to 4M011.

For this edition, Matta is highlighting Sarawak as ‘Malaysia’s Favourite Destination’ with the theme ‘Sarawak Je’.

The Sarawak participants are Greatown Travel (Sibu), Brighton Travel and Tour ( Miri), Miri Borneo Travel Agencies, Tropical Adventure Tours ( Miri), InterContinental Travel ( Kuching), EcoGreen Holidays ( Kuching), Great Leap Tours ( Kuching), Straits Central Travel and Tours ( Kuching), Borneo Exploration Tours and Travel ( Kuching), SEDC Tourism Hospitality Group ( Kuching), Amogha Tours and Travel ( Kuching), Ibanika Tours and Travel ( Kuching), and Paradesa Borneo (Kuching)

Among the new promotions to Sibu offered by Greatown Travel are the three- day, two-night city tours under RM250, the threeday, two-night package in the countryside with longhouse experiences under RM300.

In Kuching, a RM520 package that includes a car rental and a hotel room at a three-star hotel is on offer by Kuching Holidays and Car Rental Sdn. Bhd.

The Sarawak Cultural Village package goes at RM75 per adult and RM40 per child for a full experience, with lunch provided.

One Wayang Tours has a fourday, three-night package for RM613 with a day trip to Bako National Park, a kayak expedition, as well as visits to a traditional longhouse and the orangutan rehabilitation centre.
