-

KUCHING: The Art of Living Kuching will hold ‘Happython’ on Sunday (Aug 13) at the SJK Chung Hua No. 3 Alumni Hall from 7am.

Open to all, the event will share basic yoga protocols and breathing techniques.

“‘ Happython’ is to introduce yoga and let the general public experience how the basics of yoga could help in attaining body and mind relaxation, thus creating a healthier society,” The Art of Living Kuching chairman Kho Ah Soon told a press conference on Monday.

He said The Art of Living Kuching has constantly offered personal-development courses and engaged in healthy activities.

“‘Happython’ wishes to convey the message that learning yoga can be easy and effortless, unlike what is conventionally believed by many that yoga is strenuous and beyond one’s reach.

“This activity helps to release stress as it allows one to experience inner peace and joy through a series of yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation,” he said.

A yoga instructor from Peninsular Malaysia will lead the event.

Prior knowledge and experience in yoga is not essential.

Tickets priced at RM15 each are available from Jason Chee ( 016-2055287), The Art of Living Kuching secretary Caryn Tan (0128038399) or Goh ( 016- 8663738).

The Art of Living Kuching will also hold ‘Sri Sri Yoga Part 1’ from Aug 13-17 at the centre, priced at RM200 per person.

The Art of Living Kuching centre is located at Jalan Rumbia.
