Oxford Said Business School, K-Pintar launch executive education programme

KUALA LUMPUR: The University of Oxford’s Said Business School and K-Pintar, a leading Malaysian training provider, yesterday launched the Leadership 4.0 – Executive Education Portfolio, an education programme designed for business leaders in facing the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

K-Pintar chief executive officer R A Thiagaraja said the programme specially developed for Malaysia by Oxford Said, responds to the key themes and learning needs identified by business leaders in the country including those in local Small and Medium- sized Enterprise­s (SMEs).

The portfolio, suitable for CLevel leaders and senior managers, comprised three different elements – the Oxford Leadership 4.0 Programme, the Oxford SME Exponentia­l Learning Lab and series of Masterclas­ses for various period and locations, he said at the launching of the programme here. Thiagaraja said the Leadership 4.0 Programme starting Nov 20, 2017 would be held for six days in the University of Oxford, UK.

The SME Exponentia­l Learning Lab, designed to help local SME leaders overcome challenges in local market and elevate them to the next level, would commence on Jan 21, 2018 in both Oxford and Malaysia.

The Oxford Said would also bring experts to Malaysia for a series of Masterclas­ses on different key themes.

UK Department for Internatio­nal Trade, Parliament­ary Under Secretary of State, Mark Garnier said the programme would help leaders in Malaysia across corporatio­ns and SMEs to be more productive and globally competitiv­e in current everchangi­ng environmen­t.

“Malaysia and the UK cooperatio­n in education goes back to the 1816. But today’s joint venture is all about providing education for leaders of the future and helping leaders in Malaysia to develop their skills, as well as further enhanced the opportunit­ies presented to them, particular­ly in Malaysia where there is a clear plan to boost the SME sector and expand the economy,” he said in his speech. — Bernama
