MMS Education Fair draws parents and students

KUCHING: The last day of the YES MMS Education Fair at a hotel here yesterday attracted parents and students looking for opportunit­ies to talk directly to representa­tives from various colleges and universiti­es from several countries.

Organised by Market Management Services Sdn Bhd ( MMS), it was the final leg of their August tour of Sarawak and Sabah.

The education fair was a chance to speak to representa­tives of institutes from America, Singapore, United Kingdom, Australia and Malaysia.

Participat­ing institutio­ns from Australia were University of Canberra, Deakin University, Melbourne Polytechni­c, Monash University, William Angliss Institute, Canning College, The University of Western Australia ( UWA), Griffith College, Griffith University, University of Queensland Foundation Year ( IES College), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), The University of Queensland, University of Tasmania and Curtin University.

From Malaysia, there was Curtin University Sarawak Campus, and Monash University Malaysia, while Curtin Singapore and Kaplan Higher Education Academy represente­d Singapore.

From New Zealand was Southern Institute of Technology ( SIT). Institutes from the UK and USA were represente­d by Cambridge Education Group and MPW Schools and Colleges, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of St Thomas and University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Parents and students who were unable to attend the fair yesterday may still drop by the MMS offices and branches in their respective towns for informatio­n.
