Sentosa Hospital receives wheelchair, walking stick from Hope Place Kuching

-

KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching provided a wheelchair and a walking stick to Sentosa Hospital recently, following a request by the hospital to help two of its elderly residents.

Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan handed over the devices to representatives of Sentosa Hospital’s social welfare team.

Hope Place is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that visits the poor and less-fortunate families to contribute to them essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits and noodles.

These families or individuals could barely earn enough to get through the month; hence, many are grateful for the assistance delivered by Hope Place.

For the families caring for children with special needs, senior citizens or individuals with disability, the NGO provides milk powder, oat and diapers as well.

Hope Place carries out aid deliveries once every two months because of the many families on its list of recipients. Currently, it supports more than 170 families.

For more information on how you can help, Hope Place can be reached at 013- 5672775 ( hotline) / 082- 683378 (office) from 8.30am to noon, and from 2pm to 5pm – Mondays to Fridays; or from 9am to noon on Saturdays.

Should there are those interested to make donations, they are advised to request for receipts from Hope Place staff.
