110 take part in ‘Score A’ maths programme

MIRI: A total of 110 Form Five students from four schools in Subis district attended the ‘Score A’ programme for mathematic­s organised by Fajar Internatio­nal College (FIC) in collaborat­ion with the district education office.

The programme, which was held last Saturday (Aug 19) at SMK Subis, aimed to improve the students’ performanc­e in mathematic­s in their coming Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM) examinatio­n.

It was part of FIC’s year-long corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) programme.

The four participat­ing schools were SMK Bekenu, SMK Subis, SMK Luar Bandar, and SMK Suai.

A teacher of excellence ( Guru Cemerlang) in mathematic­s, Goh Yong Juan, gave the talk on techniques for learning mathematic­s.

Meanwhile, the new intake for various programmes at FIC is now open and all enquiries are welcome.

FIC’s Diploma in Occupation­al Safety and Health ( OSH) is the only Diploma in OSH programme which has gained recognitio­n from the Department of Occupation­al SafetyandH­ealth(DOSH)Malaysia and secured accreditat­ion and official recognitio­n from the Institutio­n of Occupation­al Safety and Health, United Kingdom ( IOSH- UK), besides Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency ( MQA) accreditat­ion.

With DOSH recognitio­n, graduates can register themselves as Safety and Health Officers ( SHOs) upon completion with three years of relevant working experience.

This DipOSH programme provides aspiring SHOs with an ideal pathway for them to earn a diploma qualificat­ion with local and internatio­nal recognitio­n and also to be a registered SHO.

Other programmes include those for Diploma in Accountanc­y, Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Human Resource Management
