Ugak also called on the people to support the Barisan Nasional ( BN) Kapit team of elected representatives.

According to him, political unity would ensure road and other infrastructure projects are expedited so that Kapit catches up with other urban centres in the state.

“In two or three years’ time, there’ll be a road from Kanowit to Kapit and all the way to the proposed Baleh Dam. People must be prepared for the change brought about by road connectivity,” he added.

The BN Kapit team comprises members of parliament Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi ( Kapit) and Ugak, as well as assemblymen Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing ( Baleh), Assistant Minister of Water Supply Liwan Lagang ( Belaga), Kennedy Chukpai Ugon ( Murum), Wilson Nyabong Ijang ( Pelagus), Jefferson Jamit Unyat ( Bukit Goram), and Datuk Ambrose Blikau ( Katibas).
