PDP Youth Exco confident party can win all seats in GE14

MIRI: Progressiv­e Democratic Party ( PDP) Youth Exco is confident that the party will retain its parliament­ary seats in the coming general election.

At its meeting here recently, the Youth Exco reaffirmed their support for Barisan Nasional ( BN) and expressed confidence that with the strategies planned, PDP would be able to retain its seats; namely Baram, Bintulu, Saratok and Mas Gading.

According to youth chief Cr Robert Ayu, “We agree and fully support the party’s decision that there will be no changes in candidates to be fielded in Baram, Bintulu and Mas Gading except for Saratok where a new face has to be fielded.”

“We have no doubt on the ability and capability of candidates for Bintulu, Baram and Mas Gading to defend their respective seats,” said Robert, adding that they were ready and prepared for the election.

Meanwhile, the state-level PDP Youth Dinner will be held on January 6 next year.

According to informatio­n chief Jaya Ramba, around 1,500 members of the party’s Youth and Women sections from throughout the state are expected to attend the dinner, during which the two sections will unveil their new slogan.
