X-FAB S’wak receives employer branding award

KUCHING: X-FAB Sarawak Sdn Bhd received Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award 2017 in a ceremony held at Sentosa Island, Singapore on Aug 1.

The semiconductor manufacturer was presented with the award in front of more than 200 senior leaders from over 36 Asian countries, in recognition of its outstanding employer branding activities.

X- FAB Group employs more than 1,200 people in its Malaysia facility.

“This award has distinguished X-FAB Sarawak for its excellent practices in building the company brand through its talent management, employee engagement, performance management, rewards and recognition and employee development,” X- FAB said through a press statement.

Prior to this, X-FAB Sarawak was recognised as one of ‘ HR ASIA Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2015’.

X- FAB Sarawak’s human resources ( HR) director Maureen Labarge received the award on behalf of the organisation.

Labarge said: “Winning yet another award signifies our commitment and dedication to providing a conducive, dynamic and stimulating work environment that offers our employees the opportunities to realise their full potential and provide the highest level of products and services to our customers.

“This recognition certainly reaffirms our HR strategies in attracting, developing and retaining our best talents to ensure we get the right people into the right roles and focus on the right priorities.

“This award certainly would not be ours if it wasn’t because of each and every one of our employees living our values – commitment, integrity and respect, teamwork, innovation and customer orientation – over the past many years,” she said.

Employer Branding Institute, World HRD Congress and Stars of the Industry Group hosted the 8th Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards.
