St Anthony’s church raffle tickets winners receive prizes
SARIKEI: Winners of the raffle tickets to raise fund for a new Catholic centre of St. Anthony’s church here received their prizes during a presentation ceremony held in the church premises recently.
Five of the ten prizes offered for the raffles tickets were claimed during the ceremony.
Among the claimants was Nara Usat who bought a ticket bearing number 29070 which won the first prize, a Yamaha Scooter.
Four others walked away with various types of electrical goods such as a television set; air conditioner, and freezer.
The draw was conducted by assistant rector of St. Anthony’s church Rev. Father Vincent Oates on Sept 3. Chairman of the fundraising committee Norbert Raba advised winners who have yet to claim their prizes to do so within 30 days from draw date.
They were required to produce the original tickets for verification and those seeking further clarification can contact St. Anthony’s parish office through 084- 651361.
Among those present were rector of St. Anthony’s Church Rev. Father James Ting, parish pastoral council chairperson Datin Mary Wong Mee Ha, Temenggong Frederick Wong and other organising committee members.
