MIRI: A colouring contest organised by SMK Chung Hua Miri on Saturday in conjunction with its annual charity food sale saw the participation of more than 30 children.

Raina Lim Yee Xuan emerged as the winner in Group A (five to seven-yearsold), with Valencia Lai and Felicia Jong in second and third place respectively.

In Group B (eight to 10-years-old), Wong Shyn Jie took first place, following by Christie Low in second and Evelyn Voon in third.

Group C (11 to 13-years-old) saw Michael Ho Yii Kiong, Shim Yu Xuan and Janice Voon Jia Li emerge as the top three winners.

The top three winners and those placing fourth to 10th in each category all received a goody bag, a plaque and a certificate of participation.

According to school principal Wong King Kui, the contest added more colour to the annual charity food sale, which usually comprised booths selling a variety of ready-to- eat food and drinks.

“While parents were busy visiting booths, the contest gave the children an avenue to better spend their time at the charity food sale.”

The prizes for the colouring contest were presented by SMK Chung Hua Miri’s Parent-Teacher Association chairman Dr Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim
