UPSR exam as usual in Kedah

ALOR SETAR: The Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah ( UPSR) examinatio­n in Kedah would proceed according to schedule despite the passing of the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.

The Education Ministry said in a statement that the UPSR examinatio­n scheduled for Sept 11, 12, 13, 14 and 18 which involved 8,085 examinatio­n centres and 51,363 examinatio­n staff and 443,794 candidates throughout the country would be held as scheduled.

UPSR candidates today will sit for the English Language paper on comprehens­ion and writing.

All registered examinatio­n candidates and staff including UPSR candidates in Kedah must be present at the examinatio­n centres to sit for the examinatio­n although today has been declared as a state public holiday.— Bernama
