KUCHING: Huat Tzu Kong Charity Group Association and Zong Ho Friendship Association came to the help of two needy fami l ies in Bintawa recently.

The first recipient was Lim Say Hua, 60, who was widowed recently after her husband fell down at his workplace and passed away.

The single mother has two sons — the eldest, 29, is disabled while the other son is a part-time worker. Her father- in- law, 83, also lives with them.

The second recipient, Lim Ah Heng, 62, is a kidney patient while his wife, 60, is not working. Their three daughters have married and can only help them out a bit, occassionally.

The associations gave food items and RM200 cash each to the families at their respective houses.

The donations were presented by the groups’ representative Ng Zen Tze.

The groups have been doing charity work since 2014, helping over 150 families to- date.

They were alerted by members of the publ ic who know of hardcore poor famil ies in need.

The public are welcomed to call 016- 5525552 ( Ng) to inform them of any needy families.
