Public talk on cyber crime at Pustaka Miri Sept 18

MIRI: A talk addressing cyber crime issues will be held at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri ( Pustaka Miri) here on Sept 18.

The talk will be from 2: 30pm until 4pm in the library’s auditorium. The guest speaker is Malaysian Communicat­ions and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Miri assistant director Fadzlida Hanim Abdul Razak.

Pustaka Miri, in a statement yesterday, said the talk, which is open to the public, aims to increase awareness and understand­ing on the risks of involvemen­t in cyber crime, the consequenc­es as well as ways to prevent them.

The library has been holding regular awareness and motivation­al talks as part of its activities in promoting lifelong learning and knowledges­haring.
