Unimas’ Kolej Cempaka team wins Sri Kandil Kencana Pokta trophy

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak ( Unimas) successfully held its ‘ Malam Rumpun Budaya’ competition at the university’s Detar Putra Hall recently.

According to a press release, team Kolej C empaka was crowned overall champion of the competition.

By winning the competition, the team also took home the competition’s new chal lenge trophy known as the ‘Sri Kandil Kencana Pokta’.

The annual competition was organised to foster ties between the various residential colleges of the university.

Teams participating in the competition represent the various residential colleges.

This year, five teams participated in the competition namely teams Kolej Cempaka, Kolej Bunga Raya, Kolej Alamanda , Kolej Sakura and Kolej Tun Ahmad Zaidi.

Winners of the competition were determined based on their performances in two categories, namely acoustic and dance performances.
