Nyabong presents MRP grants to 19 bodies

KAPIT: Pelagus assemblyma­n Wilson Nyabong Ijang recently handed out Minor Rural Project ( MRP) grants to 19 organisati­ons.

The presentati­on ceremony was held at the Pelagus BN PRS Service Centre here.

The recipients were Sarawak Dayak National Union Kuching ( RM5,000); Biro Wanita Lepong Sut ( RM3,000); Kelab Sukan Dan Rekerasi D’ Surah Kapit ( RM3,000); JK Pengelola Bazaar Gawai 2017 ( RM10,000); JKKK Genturong Sawang A (RM40,000); JKKK Kampung Amang Sawang Atas ( RM8,000); JKKK Nanga Banyau Ulu Baleh ( RM9,000); JKKK Nanga Peraran Kanan Merit ( RM10,000); JKKK Nanga Sebunut, P Pelagus ( RM21,000); JKKK Rumah Achan (RM27,000; PIBG SK Nanga Antaroh (RM5,000); Kelab Sukan Rekreasi Viking Kapit ( RM5,000); Biro Wanita Rumah Emak (RM5,000); Biro Wanita Rumah Laja, Nanga Peraran ( RM3,000); Biro Wanita Rumah Sabang (RM3,000); JKKK Nanga Banyau Merirai, Baleh (RM3,000); Rela Kapit (RM3,000); Serakup Indu Dayak Sarawak, Sungai Amang ( RM5,000) and JKKK Sungai Amang Ulu ( RM12,000).

In his brief remarks, Nyabong said the grants were part of his MRP funds this year.

He advised the recipients to inform their members of the MRP grants given to them.

“This is government money and I advise you to bank-in the money and to inform your members of the grant. Please use the grant for the specific purpose as requested in your applicatio­n. Compile a report and submit it to my office for record,” he advised.

Present were Walikota Philimon Nuing, Dewan Suarah Kapit manager Bakat Gira, Kapit youth and sports officer Jack Janda, Penghulu Daniel Dian, Penghulu Sallang Batang, Penghulu Steward Sawing.
