KUCHING: The Federation of Chinese Associations, Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Division, Sarawak (Hua Zong) and Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) in collaboration with Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad will organise a seminar on ‘Fund Raising and Listing on Bursa Malaysia’.

The seminar to be conducted in Chinese and English will be held at the office of Hua Zong at Jalan Pending from 9am to 12pm on Sept 20. Admission is free with limited seats. Those interested can call KCGCCI at 082-242577 or Hua Zong at 016- 8605879 to register before Sept 18.

“The seminar aims to help aspiring entrepreneurs navigate through the journey to a successful listing and will cover the listing requirements of the main market, ACE Market and LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia,” said Hua Zong president Datuk Richard Wee at a press conference here on Tuesday.

LEAP Market was launched in July 2017 to cater for the listing of small and medium enterprises.

“A listing will allow qualified enterprises to raise funds from the capital markets for future expansion, facilitate future merges and acquisitions, enhance its corporate image and reputation, motivate and reward employees via share option schemes as well as enlarge its capital and shareholders base,” Richard said.

The organisers believe this seminar will benefit directors and management of enterprises with solid financials who intend to seek listing on Bursa Malaysia in the future.
