Monster Dash runners reminded to keep official receipts for race-pack collection

MIRI: Participants of the Monster Dash Miri 2017 ‘Light Up Edition’ are reminded to present the official receipts as proof of payment upon collecting their race packs this Sept 29 – the eve of the charity run.

These race packs – each comprising runner’s T- shirt and LED armband – can be collected at the counter on the first floor of Atrium 3, Permaisuri Imperial City Mall here.

It is compulsory for every participant to wear the official Tshirts to redeem the customised finisher’s medal, which will only be given away to them upon reaching the finish line.

The flag- off and finish line of the Sept 30 run will be at the Coco Cabana at Jalan Marina Bay here.

Participants should arrive at the venue by 6pm to avoid congestion. Additionally, they also get to enjoy free RM10 per two-way (to and from Coco Cabana) promo code from Uber that day.

Runners are encouraged to make use of the Uber promotion as there will be road closure with parking limited to areas around the event’s venue.

Other members of the public are advised to avoid Jalan Marina Bay between 6.30pm and 8.30pm that day when the run takes place.

The organisers have a lso announced lucky draw prizes worth up to RM5,000 that will be given away to winners in the evening after the run.

Deckworks DJ Academy and Production – the official deejay partnerforMonsterDashMiri–will be present to provide participants an enjoyable experience.

The warm- up and cool- down sessions for the runners will be led by professional Zumba instructors from Dance Fusion Studio.

Monster Dash is an event created by social enterprise OurYouth.my to create public awareness of and to promote the spirit of caring and charity, especially among youths. It is a fun community event suitable for all ages.

All proceeds from Monster Dash Miri 2017 will be channelled to Malaysian Red Crescent ( MRC) Miri Chapter, Sunflower Centre and Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS).

Any last minute registration can be done online via mdmiri. peatix. com or by going to the counter at Somerset Hotel at Jalan Kwangtung ( 9am- 9pm) or during the weekend roadshow at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall.
