MIRI: The implementation of the 21st Century Learning ( PAK21) under the School Transformation Programme 2025 ( TS25) at SMK Dato Permaisuri would also involve students under the Special Education Integration Programme ( PPKI).

This was said by the School Improvement Partner Plus (SIP+) K Mutharasu Krishasamy of Marudi Education Office ( PPD) during a visit to the school’s ‘ Educational Leadership and Instructional Team (ELIT) TS25’ recently.

He commended SMK Dato Permaisuri for its effort towards becoming a quality school by improving the well- being of its students.

Mutharasu was accompanied by School Improvement Specialist Coaches Plus ( SISC+) Zambri Zainal of PPD Miri and Rubiah Ismail of PPD Subis, as well as ‘Master Trainers’ Philip Chayung of Institut Aminuddin Baki ( IAB) Sarawak and Dr Hamden Gani of Miri Teachers Education Institute ( IPG).

All these officers are appointed by the Education Ministry to guide schools under the TS25.

According to SMK Dato Permaisuri principal Haslinda Jedi, the trip provided the opportunity to every member of her staff to obtain as much input as possible towards enhancing and refining the implementation of PAK21 and TS25.

“I hope the monitoring and assessment by these appointed officers would help make SMK Dato Permaisuri a model to other schools in this area,” she said.
