ASNB aims to register 6,000 new investors at Fiesta Labur PNB

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a whol ly- owned uni t of Permodalan Nasional Bhd ( PNB), has targeted to register 5,000 to 6,000 new account holders during the Fiesta Labur PNB in Putrajaya from Sept 28 to Oct 1.

Chief execut ive of f icer/ executive director, Mohammad Hussin said this is based on the expected visitor turnout of about 15,000 at the carnival.

“Fiesta Labur PNB is the culminatio­n and showcase of all PNB’s financial literacy programmes that have been organised throughout the year in all states across the country.

“It aims to deliver investment­related content through fun and casual engagement sessions with the participan­ts and visitors,” he told a media briefing on the fiesta yesterday.

The infotainme­nt- based investment carnival, which will feature 50 retail outlets and exhibition booths, will be held at Putrajaya Internatio­nal Convention Centre ( PICC).

Renowne d i nve s tment speakers and celebritie­s are expected to grace the event.

Mohammad said through Fiesta Labur PNB, ASNB could educate the public on the advantages of investing and share the fundamenta­ls of investment such as the “Power of Compoundin­g” and “Rule of 72”, so that visitors could understand that investment was not complicate­d. — Bernama
