Miri FA all set for LBR

-

MIRI: The Miri FA are now in the final phase of training ahead of their first Liga Bolasepak Rakyat (LBR) group match against Bintulu FA on Sept 30.

Head coach Mohd Hakimi Man said the team have started the three-phase training since July.

“There is no easy match but we are confident that Miri FA will go a long way if the aura is positive and the player’s focus is maintained,” he told The Borneo Post recently.

Miri FA are pitted with Bintulu FA and Mukah FA in Group C.

“With the first match against Bintulu, we will devise several tactical plans to ensure that we are ready under any circumstances.

“It includes uncertain weather changes, the tact ics of the opponents in the match and also the situation during the match whether we are ahead, tied or preceded,” he said.

Miri FA’s preparation for the league was hampered by injuries to key players Francis Martin and Alex Maxwell, who previously played for Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak ( PKNP).

“However, we are very lucky because our young players are ready to take on this heavy duty based on their excellent performance in previous friendly matches,” Mohd Hakimi said.

He added that players such as Suhaimi Zamri, Fairul Hadi, Alphonsos Joseph and Mohd Hafiz Ilham are capable of filling in for the injured key players.
