Lions Club members praised for willingness to help all
The Lions movement around the world and also in our district under the capable leadership of District Governor (District 308-A2) Pelly Lee, have certainly helped many strangers.
SIBU: Members of the Lions Club are commended for reaching out to the poor and the needy, despite not even knowing the recipients of their assistance.
In this regard, Minister of International Trade and ECommerce Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh views the Lions as ‘ having restored the people’s dignity and happiness in life, making the world a better place to live in’.

your pledge — ‘Together We Serve’ — making this world a happier and a better place to live in,” he spoke at the 19th office- bearers installation cum fundraising banquet of Sibu Pahlawan Lions Club here on Sunday, where the newly-installed club president Kevin Lau and event organising chairman Andrew Wong were present. Adding on, Soon Koh also spoke on the importance of helping one another.
“When you are successful in your career, it is time for you to help others.”
Soon Koh also expressed his confidence in Lau’s leadership – one that he believed would bring the Sibu Pahlawan chapter to greater heights.
