Kuching Connections Toastmasters Club meeting focuses on leadership

KUCHING: Kuching Connections Toastmasters Club (CTMC) will be meeting tonight ( Sept 28, Thursday) at 7.30pm at Homestay Hotel, Ellis Road here.

According to a publicity release, the Toastmaster of the evening will be Thomas Teng, a successful businessman, who has been a toastmaster for a few years.

Teng is a very humble person with a lot of passion for toastmasters.

The theme of the meeting will be ‘ Leadership’ with emphasis on the word ‘Responsibility’.

Club president Vincent Chai pointed out that leaders build leaders instead of followers, thus responsibility is the most important value in leadership.

“As a leader of the club, I always make sure every member grows and learns. If you are looking to train to become a confident public speaker and strong leader then CTMC is the place for you,” he added.

During the meeting, there will be several programmes that will definitely help members develop into better leaders and better speakers.

With the mentoring programme in CTMC, mentees learn faster and efficiently.

The entrance fee will be RM10 per person.

CTMC meets at Homestay Hotel on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at 7.30pm.
