Beko projects revenue of US$500 million from Asean over next five years

KUALA LUMPUR: Beko, the foremost freestanding home appliance brand in Europe, projects revenue of US$500 million from Asean over the next five years.

In the third quarter of 2016, the company also established a Customer Care Centre with an investment of RM500,000 in Malaysia, to expand its market in the country.

The Beko Customer Care Centre is located in a four-storey building at the Jalan Kuching Boulevard Business Park here. It houses the customer care team, spare part warehouse, product and technical training facilities and a product showroom.

Beko Appliances Malaysia Sdn Bhd chief executive officer, Chan Lock said the care centre was a critical strategy for the company’s expansion in the country.

“The Beko Customer Care Centre is to serve as the epicentre to bridge interaction and drive brand support for our customers, dealers and our 51 service partners across Malaysia,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The establishment of the centre is Beko’s on- going growth to support the brand’s expanding line of white goods products in Malaysia.

Beko established over 500 retail outlets in Malaysia last year and just within a year of its Malaysian office operations.

“As of the first half of this year, Beko boosted another increase in retail outlets, bringing the total number to 800 in Malaysia, including mass merchants, local chain shops and independent shops,” Chan Lock said.

Beko, which is gaining traction in its Asia Pacific expansion, has 440 million consumers in more than 140 countries. — Bernama
