Lim delivers aid for fifth time to needy Kpg Krokong Blimbin families

KUCHING: Volunteer social worker Lim Chee Haw recently made his fifth trip this year to Kampung Krokong Blimbin in Bau to deliver rations and daily necessitie­s purchased by Good Samaritans for poor families in the village.

Lim, when met yesterday said he was happy these donors agreed to his request to buy rice, eggs and other essential household items for the six recipients.

Some of the donors also travelled with Lim to the village to deliver the rations three days ago.

“They may not be of the same racial group or religion with the recipients, but this did not stop them from helping out and giving back to society in order to share their successes in life.

“I must also thank Saberkas Serembu chairman James Daim Ramong, who is always in contact with me and seeking my cooperatio­n to assist the unfortunat­e members of society there,” he said.

On another matter, Lim said poor families facing difficulti­es during bereavemen­t can contact him on 082-248153 or 016- 8070388, if they need help to get coffins for burial.

He said that Good Samaritans had purchased the coffi ns, which are currently placed at a coffin shop in Mile 3 1/2 Kuching and are ready to be delivered upon request to the homes of the poor and needy.

“So far, 13 coffins have been delivered to poor families as far as Bau, Serian and Sri Aman,” he added.
