Check out new variants of Toyota models at UMW
KUCHING: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd has begun selling the new Toyota lnnova 2.0x, new variants of Toyota Fortuner, as well as upgraded Toyota Hilux.
A spokeswoman at the Jalan Pending showroom yesterday said the models are available from all authorised Toyota showrooms nationwide.
“The prices of the new models are as follows (without insurance): Toyota lnnova 2.0X – RM135,531.50; Toyota Fortuner 2.4 VRZ 4x4 - RM198,090.60; Toyota Fortuner 2.4 SRZ 4x4 – RM188,090.60; and Toyota Hilux – from RM89,490 to RM132,832.70,” she said.
For the Launch Weekender at Jalan Pending from 9am to 4pm today and tomorrow ( Oct 7- 8), there will be gifts for prospective buyers and Test Drive Lucky Dips.
There is also an RM200 eService Voucher for orders signed by Monday (Oct 9).
Buyers of Toyota vehicles until Dec 31 also stand to win prizes such as Toyota Camry Hybrids and smartphones.
The weekend event will also have a Kiddies Corner with Sand Art Making, Cotton Candy, and Inflatable Bouncer, as well as refreshments.
“With the lnnova 2.0X, UMWT is upgrading the MPV to an even more premium image with advanced features, which include LED lights, premium combination leather package, eight-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat, captain’s seats for the second row, and larger alloy rims.
“The two new turbodiesel variants in the Fortuner range – the Fortuner 2.4 VRZ 4x4 and Fortuner 2.4 SRZ 4x4 – offer customers more choices,” said the spokesperson.
She said the two new variants come with Bi- LED projector headlamps, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), seven SRS Airbags, automatic air conditioning, leather seats, and a power back door, and also newly- available are front LED-type fog lamps and cruise control.
“As for new 4x4 features, the Fortuner 2.4 VRZ 4x4 and Fortuner 2.4 SRZ 4x4 variants, now come with Downhill Assist Control ( DAC). All variants are now updated with rear disc brakes,” she said.
“As for the Hilux, which has been the best- selling pick- up truck in Malaysia for 12 years, there are major upgrades and improvements in enhancing offroad performance, convenience and safety. As before, there are six variants to suit different budgets and requirements, whether they are just for work or for personal use or a combination of both,” she said.
She added that major enhancements such as cruise control, automatic air conditioning, USB charging ports, and an additional vent to bring cool air to rear passengers.
The spokeswoman added that Vehicle Stability Control ( VSC) has now also been added to the Hilux 2.4G with manual transmission, along with Hill-start Assist Control ( HAC) and Active Traction Control (A-TRC).
“The Hilux 2.8G also comes with Downhill Assist Control ( DAC) to make driving down a steep slope easier and safer. Safety has been stepped up further by expanding the availability of seven airbags to the 2.4G AT variant as well,” she said.
As with all the latest models offered by UMW Toyota Motor, there is a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage, subject to terms and conditions.
