Elite stage magnificent fight back to pip Lucky at the death
KUCHING: It was a race right down to the wire as plenty of drama unfolded during the Position Round matches of the Megalanes Adventure World ( MAW) 199 & Below Trios League on Thursday night.
Lucky, who were leading the league prior to the Position Round, had to settle for second place after they succumbed to a 4-16 defeat at the hands of eventual league champion and their opponent for the night, Elite.
At the end of the day, Elite won the league title with a margin of 3.64 Peterson points over Lucky.
A similar victory for 10- Pin Mafia also ensured they finished in third place in the league with a margin of 4.3 Peterson points over The Incredibowls.
Bruce Bilton of Joker won the Individual High Game (Handicap) award with his 291 game in the sixth week of the league while Edward Teo of Elite was second with his 270 game in the sixth week as well.
Edward also managed to get his hands on the Individual High Series ( Handicap) award with his total of 921 pins in the sixth week and Desmond Voon from The Incredibowls was second with his 897 effort in the ninth week.
The Team High Game (Handicap) award went to Joker who scored 696 pins in the sixth week while Elite were in second spot with their effort of 682 pins.
However, Elite managed to grab the award for Team High Series ( Handicap) with their score of 2551 pins, a further 126 pins ahead of first runners-up The Incredibowls.
The Mini-Masters for this league will be held next Thursday (Oct 12) whereby the prize presentation will be organised prior to its start.
