The PT3 was introduced in 2014 to replace the Penilaian Menengah Rendah ( PMR) examination which in turn, was introduced in 1993 to replace Sijil Rendah Pelajaran ( SRP). This year, a total of 425,251 candidates are sitting for the examination all over the country.
