Over 80 researchers, academicians attend Sasem 2017
KUCHING: More than 80 individuals comprising researchers and academicians are taking part in an inaugural International Symposium on Applied Structural Equation Modelling (Sasem) 2017 here until tomorrow (Oct 14).
The event is organised by Sarawak Research Society in collaboration with Sarawak Convention Bureau and Sarawak Tourism Board.
Its chair Prof T Ramayah said two renowned experts Prof Marko Sarstedt, a prominent marketing and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) expert from Germany and Prof Peter Seddon, an expert in computing and information system from Australia are expected to deliver their keynote addresses.
“We have planned an exciting programme that includes a presymposium workshop, technical paper presentations, post symposium seminar, and a gala dinner and award presentation ceremony.
“We also have planned for technical demonstrations and numerous opportunities for informal networking,” he said.
Ramayah hoped all delegates get new insights and updated knowledge from the speeches and papers presented at the symposium.
“I also hope you have the opportunity to get to know each other and expand your networking during this conference,” he added.
Sasem 2017 is an academic conference focusing on the use of SEM and related matters.
It is a platform for academics and students to share their research output and network with researchers in the community regardless of their disciplines and areas of interest.
