MIRI: Malaysia’s well-known artist and singer Huang Yifei will be showcasing more than 20 pieces of his paintings today (13 Oct) at Coco Cabana, here, to let us have the opportunity to glimpse into his spiritual landscape other than his talent in singing.

It all started 12 years ago, Huang Yifei fell in love into ink painting at fi rst sight when he sent his wife Xiao Miao to an art class.

Since then, he became an apprentice to internationally famous painting and calligraphy master Wu Yahong and began his fate with ink painting.

He has spent many sleepless nights in painting and has collected more than 100 pieces of works over the past 12 years.

After 12 years, he has started his fi rst exhibition in Klang, and the citizens of Miri will have the opportunity to marvel at his art works at the Coco Cabana today.

The art fair and exhibition organised by Fun Borneo will last for nine days until Oct 22. It will also feature artworks of seven local artists.

The organiser welcomes the public, especially art lovers, to support local creations and promote local art.
