Artist, singer Huang Yifei show­cases art­works

MIRI: Malaysia’s well-known artist and singer Huang Yifei will be show­cas­ing more than 20 pieces of his paint­ings to­day (13 Oct) at Coco Ca­bana, here, to let us have the op­por­tu­nity to glimpse into his spir­i­tual land­scape other than his tal­ent in singing.

It all started 12 years ago, Huang Yifei fell in love into ink paint­ing at fi rst sight when he sent his wife Xiao Miao to an art class.

Since then, he be­came an ap­pren­tice to in­ter­na­tion­ally fa­mous paint­ing and cal­lig­ra­phy master Wu Ya­hong and be­gan his fate with ink paint­ing.

He has spent many sleep­less nights in paint­ing and has col­lected more than 100 pieces of works over the past 12 years.

Af­ter 12 years, he has started his fi rst ex­hi­bi­tion in Klang, and the ci­ti­zens of Miri will have the op­por­tu­nity to mar­vel at his art works at the Coco Ca­bana to­day.

The art fair and ex­hi­bi­tion or­gan­ised by Fun Bor­neo will last for nine days un­til Oct 22. It will also fea­ture art­works of seven lo­cal artists.

The or­gan­iser wel­comes the pub­lic, es­pe­cially art lovers, to sup­port lo­cal cre­ations and pro­mote lo­cal art.
