Latin Amer­i­can Film Fes­ti­val is back in town in Novem­ber

KUALA LUMPUR: The Latin Amer­i­can Film Fes­ti­val is back in town and ready to kick off next month, fea­tur­ing 12 con­tem­po­rary films to the Malaysian au­di­ence, free of charge.

Or­gan­ised by the em­bassies of Latin Amer­i­can and Caribbean coun­tries in Malaysia (GRULAC) com­pris­ing Ar­gentina, Brazil, Chile, Colom­bia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mex­ico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, the fes­ti­val is set to run from Nov 1 to 8, tak­ing place ex­clu­sively at the GSC Pavil­ion KL.

Rep­re­sent­ing GRULAC, the Am­bas­sador of Ar­gentina to Malaysia, Manuel Bala­guer said this year’s se­lec­tion in­cludes a wide range of gen­res, topic and style such as ro­mance, com­edy, drama, an­i­ma­tion, doc­u­men­tary and hor­ror.

He said the fes­ti­val of­fers a per­fect op­por­tu­nity for Malaysians to see the world through the eyes of other cul­ture and all films will be screened with the English sub­ti­tles. — Ber­nama
