Latin American Film Festival is back in town in November

KUALA LUMPUR: The Latin American Film Festival is back in town and ready to kick off next month, featuring 12 contempora­ry films to the Malaysian audience, free of charge.

Organised by the embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries in Malaysia (GRULAC) comprising Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, the festival is set to run from Nov 1 to 8, taking place exclusivel­y at the GSC Pavilion KL.

Representi­ng GRULAC, the Ambassador of Argentina to Malaysia, Manuel Balaguer said this year’s selection includes a wide range of genres, topic and style such as romance, comedy, drama, animation, documentar­y and horror.

He said the festival offers a perfect opportunit­y for Malaysians to see the world through the eyes of other culture and all films will be screened with the English subtitles. — Bernama
