Ministry to launch ‘Price Catcher’ mobile app in November

TEMERLOH: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry ( KPDNKK) will introduce a new mobile application that allows consumers in the country to obtain information on retail stores and restaurants that offer goods and food at reasonable prices.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, said the new application, codenamed Price Catcher, will be launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Nov 1.

“The price of goods displayed in the new app will change daily as it will be updated through our existing price monitoring system and improved by the Friends of KPDNKK ( FOK) members, who are also consumers, as they know more about the locations and stores that sells goods at affordable price. — Bernama
