Jimisar launches new Mitsubishi Outlander
KUCHING: Jimisar Group, the authorised 4S Mitsubishi dealer in Sarawak, has launched the new locally-assembled Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0L, at only RM141,200 on the road (OTR) without insurance.
In connection with the launch, Jimisar Group welcomes all four-wheel drive vehicle (4WD) enthusiasts to come to its showroom this Oct 21 to view this new Outlander and find out more about its great year- end offers.
This 2.0 AWD model comes in ‘Ruby Black’ – a new colour, which is black with a hint of maroon under the sunlight – exclusively for the Malaysian market.
The seven- seater is an ideal sports utility vehicle (SUV) tuned and designed to provide comfort as well as safety to its occupants comprising young families, business owners or professionals.
It is powered by a two-litre, fourcylinder engine that produces145Ps and 196Nm of torque channelling to all four wheels through the INVECS-III CVT gearbox and MMC’s Multi Select 4WD system.
In comparison, the outgoing Outlander 2.4L CBU produces 167Ps and 222Nm of torque. It is able to do 13km/l, whereas the CKD 2.0 4WD is able to do 13.7km/l.

With improved traction on slippery surfaces as well as stability, the Outlander’s Multi-Select 4WD system comes with three selectable modes – the 4WD Eco, 4WD Auto and 4WD Lock – to ensure that the SUV is able to meet all sorts of conditions and terrains.
Despite being priced lower, the safety of the Outlander 2.0L AWD is identical to the outgoing CBU 2.4L variant. It comes with seven airbags, active stability control, traction control, hill start assist, ABS and EBD, brake assist, and also ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard features.
The SUV also boasts a strong Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution ( RISE) body construction to maximise occupants’ safety.
The Outlander also comes with a new driving video recorder, security film for all windows, the ‘ Rest Reminder’ that produces a sound to alert the driver after driving for a certain number of hours, and also reverse camera with guide lines.
Interior-wise, the vehicle comes with fabric seats, 4WD selector, keyless entry and push start, auto headlamps and wipers, dualzone auto air con and a seveninch touchscreen head unit with air gesture controls and Apple CarPlay.
The interior is designed to ensure spaciousness and practicality for the entire family. The second and third row seats can be folded down to allow cargo volume of 1,608 litres, which is currently the best in its class.
On the exterior, the Outlander 2.0 looks identical to the outgoing 2.4 variant with LED DRLs, LED brake lamps, shark fin antenna, reverse camera and front/rear parking sensors as well as 18-inch wheels. The newOutlander are available in three colours – Red Metallic, Solar White and Ruby Black.
A five-year/unlimited mileage warranty and two years of free maintenance are provided upon purchase. Bookings can be made at all Jimisar outlets in Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu.
